MEET Dr. Steven Nguyen

Steven Nguyen, DMD, MD, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Nguyen earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Emory University, where he double-majored in Biology and Economics. He then pursued his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Massachusetts.

Following dental school, Dr. Nguyen completed a General Practice Residency at Jacobi Medical Center in New York. He then completed a six-year integrated Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Mount Sinai Downtown/Jacobi Medical Center in New York City, which included a one-year General Surgery Internship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. During his residency, Dr. Nguyen earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In his final year of training, he served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Steven Nguyen is a Board-Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with extensive experience in a wide range of procedures. His clinical expertise includes wisdom tooth extraction, bone grafting, dental implant placement, IV sedation and general anesthesia, facial trauma reconstruction, and corrective jaw (orthognathic) surgery. Additionally, Dr. Nguyen is skilled in the management of oral pathology, minimally invasive salivary gland surgery, and comprehensive dentoalveolar treatments.

Outside of work, Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending quality time with his significant other, snowboarding, woodworking, and discovering new travel destinations.
